The place of tibial osteotomy in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee

Abstract

In osteoarthritis of the knee, when the dejenerative changes involve primarily one compartment with resulting varus or valgus deformity, tibial osteotomy can correct the deformity and shift the weight bearing load to the less involved side of the joint. Thus it may relieve the pain and improve the function.

Abstract

Diz artrozunda dejeneratif değişikliklerin tek kompartmanı ilgilendirdiği ve varus veya valgus deformitesine yol açtığı durumlarda tibial osteotomi deformiteyi düzeltir ve yükü nisbeten az tutulan tarafa aktarır. Böylece ağırıyı azaltabilir ve fonksiyonu geliştirebilir.
