Operative treatment of congenital hip dislocation in older ages with ''open reduction, shortening, derotation, varisation and Pemberton acetabuloplasty."

Abstract

Between 1987 and 1988. open Reduction, Shortening. Derotation, Varisation and Pemberton Acetabuloplasty method was permormed to 14 hips of l2 children who were above 5 years old in Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department of Istanbul Medical Faculty for trcating Congenital Hip Dislacition. The avarage of their ages was 6.6 and the resultswere evaluted according to MacKenzie and Pemberton criterions. In the cases which showed average of %78 good result, superficial infection in one case and avascular necrosis in one case were found as complication.
