Treatment of supracondylar humeral fractures in children with closed reduction and percutaneous pinning. -Early results-

Abstract

34 supracondylar humeral fractures- except obsolute conservotive and surgical treatment indication, not hoving too much swelling, without neurovascular complication, displaced which couid be reducted by closed methods; but unreliable to its stability-were fixed with percutaneus K-wires. Fractures have been classified according to Gartland and followed up approximately thirteen months. Results were evaluated in accordance with Flynn criteria. There were no poor results. We set, on 23 patients (70 , percent) excellent. 16 percent good, 14 percent fair results. According to us, closed reduction and percutaneou pinning should not be compared with the other methods and be applied with its special indications. This method gives highly proportional successfull results and shouid be included on routine use.

Çocukların suprakondiler humerus kırıklarının kapalı redüksiyon ve perkutan çivileme ile tedavisi -Erken sonuçlar-

Öz

Mutlak konservatif ve cerrahi tedavi endikasyonu dışında kalan, ödemi fazla olmayan, nörovasküler komplikasyonu olmayan, deplase fakat kapalı metodla redükte edilebilen ama stabiletisine güvenilemeyen 34 suprakondiler humerus kırığına perküten kirschner teli ile tesbit uygulandı. Kırıklar Gardland'a göre sınıflandırıldı, ortalama 13 ay takip edildi ve Flynn kriterlerine göre sonuçlar değerlendirildi. Yetersiz sonuç yoktu. %70 (23 hasta) mükemmel, %16 (6 hasta) iyi %14 (5 hasta) yeterli sonuç elde edildi. Bizce kapalı redüksiyon ve perküton çivileme diğer metodlara mukayese edilmemeli, kendi özel endikasyonları iie uygulanmalıdır. Çok yüksek oranda başarılı sonuç elde edilmektedir ve rutin kullanıma sokulmalıdır.
