Diagnosis of hip septic arthritis with ultrasonography

Abstract

Diagnosis of septic arthritis of the hip may be a problem in most of the cases. It is possible to determine the efusion of the hip joint by ultrasound. Besides being a quick and easy method, it is noninvasive and provides comparison with the uninvolved side. Therefore, we believe that it is useful method in the early diagnosis of septic arthritis of the hip joint.
