Peripheral soft tissue changes in leg lengthened osteotomy

Abstract

Femur of 18 rats were Iengthened as 5, 1 0, 15 percent of original femur Iength to explain vascular, neural and muscular complications seen in Ienghtened osteotomy. Changes occured in peripheral soft tissues were investigated histopathologically. It was concluded that Ienghtened osteotomy may be done up to 15 percent of original bone Iength without any histopathological change, if patients are examined well, an appropriate technique chosen, Patient is followed up well.

Uzatma osteotomiterinde çevre yumuşak doku değişiklikleri (deneysel çalışma)

Öz

Uzatma osteotomiterinde görülen damar, sinir ve adaleye ait komplikasyonlara ışık tutabilmek amacı ile KTÜ Tıp Fakültesi Cerrahi Araştırma Laboratuvarında 18 kobay femuruna orjinal ekstremite uzunluğunun %5, %10 ve %15'i oranında uzatma yapıldı. Çevre yumuşak dokularda meydana gelen değişiklikler histopatolojik olarak incelendi. Hastanın iyi değerlendirilmesi, uygun bir tekniğin seçilmesi, post operatif olarak iyi takip edilmesi ve uzatmanın literatür verilerine göre olması halinde, orjinal kemik uzunluğunun %15'i oranına kadar damar, sinir ve adele yapısında komplikasyona sebep olacak ölçülerde histopatolojik değişiklikler olmadan uzatma yapılabileceği sonucuna varıldı.
