The conservative treatment of the CDH with Pavlik harness
Abstract
Pavlik bandage was used for treatment of congenital hip dislocation of patients in 0-6 month age group in Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic of Sisli Etfal Hospital, Ministry of Health. Pavlik bandage was applied to 48 dislocated hips of 39 patients with no teratological or neuromuscular disorders. We obtained stable reduction in 45 hips. In three patients which Pavlik bandage application was not adequate, other treatment methods were used. No avasculer necrosis was seen after treatment of patients with Pavlik bandage.
