Our results in surgical therapy of congenital pes equinovarus

Abstract

Patients who were operated between 1983-1990 with the diagnosis of congenital talipes equinovarus were reevaluated for good function, clinically and radiologically with our invitation. The age of operation, the method used and the complications were examined. 27 feet of 18 cases were reexamined with a minimum of 7 and maximum 84 months with a mean 41.3 months. The results of operations of 27 feet were evaluated as follows, 6 very good, 13 good, 19 satisfactory, 4 fair, 4 bad. With regard to results, it was decided that the best method of operation was Turco s posteromedial release operation.

Doğuştan pes ekinovarus da cerrahi tedavi sonuçlarımız

Öz

Doğuştan pes ekinovarus tanısıyla 1983-1990 yılları arasında kliniğimizde ameliyat edilen ve çağrımıza uyarak kontrole gelen hastaların ayakları fonksiyon, klinik ve radyolojik olarak değerlendirildi. Ameliyat yaşı, ameliyat şekli ve karşılaşılan komplikasyonlar ortaya kondu. Kontrole gelen 18 olgunun 27 ayağının en kısa takip süresi 7 ay, en uzun takip süresi 84 ay olmak üzere ortalama takip süresi 41.3 ay idi. Cerrahi tedavi gören bu 27 ayağın 6'sı çok iyi, 13'ü iyi olmak üzere 19'u tatmin edici, 4'ü orta, 4'ü ise kötü olarak değerlendirildi. Uygulanan ameliyatlar arasında en iyi sonuçların Turco tarafından tarif edilen posteromedial gevşetme ameliyatından sonra elde edildiği gözlendi.
