The value of conservative therapy in distal radius fractures

Abstract

In this text, we debate the value of distal radius fractures with one year follow-up results of 59 wrists belonging to 56 patients treated in our clinic in the first half of 1991. We concluded that the surgical therapy is especially indicated for deplaced, intraarticular, comminuted fractures (Frykmann type V, VI, VII, VIII) of the distal radius regarding the late results.
