The use of reverse radial forearm flap in the treatment of tissue defects of hand and wrist

Abstract

Distally and radial artery based reversed forearm flaps were used to repair tissue defects of the hand and wrist. The tissue defects of the hands of four emergency patients, two patients with chronic hand sores, one patient with a burn contracture and one patient with benign tumor were treated by this flap The easy surgical access thin skin paddle, a long vascular pedicle and good color-matchland the especially succesful result on the dorsal defects of the hand are important reasons for using this flap as a choice of treatment Though it leaves a noticeable and non-esthetic donor area scac it is still one of the choices among rne other availabie local flaps in the treatment of soft tissue delects of the hand.

Distal pediküllü radial önkol flebi ile el ve bilekteki yumuşak doku defektlerinin onarımı

Öz

Radial arter üzerinde distal pediküllü olarak taşınan önkol flebi elde ve el bileğindeki çeşitli doku defektlerinin tamirinde kullanıldı. Acil olarak başvuran 4 hastanın ve kronik yarası bulunan 2 hastanın yumuşak doku defekti ve yine yanık kontraktürü açılması ve tümör eksizyonu sonrasında elinde sekonder doku defekti oluşan iki hastanın yumuşak doku defekti radial önkol flebi ile onarıldı. Kolay hazırlanabilmesi, ince yapısı uzun bir pediküle sahip olması ve iyi bir renk uyumu sağlaması, özellikle el sırtı cildi defektlerinde oldukça başarılı sonuçlar vermesi bu flebin seçiminde önemli rol oynamıştır Olumlu sonuçların yanı sıra, belirgin ve estetik olarak iyi olmayan bir donör saha nedbesi bırakmasına rağmen, bu flepi eldeki doku kayıplarının onarımında hala en önde gelen ve seçilen lokal fleplerden birisidir
