Modified Bristow procedure on the treatment of recurrent anterior shoulder dislocations

Abstract

Thereis not general agreement between the authors about the surgical treatment of racurrent anterior shoulder dislocations and aetiology of this problem is still controversial. Between 1985-1992 at SSK Istanbul Hospital Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department, we performed modiied Bristow operation to 32 patients. 26 patients whose Iast controls are available, were evaluated again after a median follow up of 46.8 months and the results were compered with the resultsin the litetature.
