Bilateral femoral neck fracture in a case of osteopetrosis

Abstract

In osteopetrozis, a rare disorder, fractures are quite common and usually involve the Iower extremities. Surgical treatment presents technical problems. We present a case of osteopetrosis who has undergone a Pauwels Y osteotomy for his Ieft hip due to pseudoarthrosis following bilateral fractures of the femoral neck.
