Abstract

In osteopetrozis, a rare disorder, fractures are quite common and usually involve the Iower extremities. Surgical treatment presents technical problems. We present a case of osteopetrosis who has undergone a Pauwels Y osteotomy for his Ieft hip due to pseudoarthrosis following bilateral fractures of the femoral neck.

Abstract

Çok nadir görülen bir kemik hastalığı olan osteopetroziste kırıklar sık oluşmaktadır. Genellikle alt ekstremitede rastlanan kırıkların cerrahi tedavisinde ise teknik güçlükler bulunmaktadır. İki taraflı femur boynu kırığı geçirmiş ve gelişen psödoartroz nedeniyle bir kalçasına Pauwels'in Y osteotomisi uygulanan bir olgu sunulmuştur.
