Abstract

In order to detect the Causes of the orthopedic disabilities of the male population in Eskişehir region, medical council reportsof 600 bed Eskişehir Air Force Hospital between 1938-1993 were investigated, and found as 153 per hundred thousands. Trauma and infection which were the main Causes of disabilities upto 1950's were detected to reduce by the time and changing the Ieading position with neurological disorders. We advocate to perform the same investigation through the medical council reports of other Military Hospitals as to create male orthopedic disability map of Turkey.

Abstract

Eskişehir ve çevresinde, erkeklerin sakatlık nedenlerini saptamak amacıyla Eskişehir 600 yataklı Hava Hastanesi'nin 1938-1993 tarihleri arasındaki sağlık kurulu kararları incelendi. Ortalama yüzbinde 153 olarak bulundu. 1930-1950'li yıllarda önemli sakatlık nedeni olan travma ve enfeksiyonların zamanla gerileyip daha çok nörolojik kökenli hastalıkların ön plana çıktığı saptandı. Diğer Askeri Hastanelerin sağlık kurulu raporlarının incelenmesi ile Türkiye'nin erkek nüfusu için gerçek sakatlık haritasının çıkartılabileceği kanısındıyız.
