Fine needle aspiration in a case of Ewing s sarcoma
Abstract
A cytologic diagnosis of Ewing s sarcoma was made by fine needle aspiration of a mass Iocated at 6-7 th costallevel, in an 18 year old man. Cytologic features of Ewing s sarcoma and its differential diagnosis with other small cell malignant neoplasms, particularly in children, are discussed. Immunocytochemical techniques helpful in distinguishing this tumor from other neoplasms are described with a review of the literature.
