The importance of sliding moment which is caused by implantatlon errors in unicompartmontal knee prosthesls

Abstract

In this study, we evaluated the results of sliding type unicompartmental knee prosthesis whichwas performedat Holzminden Protestan Hospitalbetween April1,1987 and May 31,1993. We have performed 95 knee prostheses in 83 patients. 80 female, 3 male patients with the mean age of 71 constitute our material. Mean fo1low up period was 41 months (Ranged 4 months to 120 months). On conclusion sliding type unicompartmental knee prosthesis is a safe method in the treatment of gonarthrosis. Implantation errors compromise long term results. A tibial component placed in properly increase the load on cruciate ligaments.

Öz

Bu çalışmada 1 Nisan 1987- 31 Mayıs 1993 tarihleri arasında Holzminden Protestan Hastanesinde gonartroz nedeniyle yapılan kızak protezi ameliyatların sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. 83 hastanın 95 dizine kızak protezi uygulanmıştır. Vaka serimizi 80 kadın, 3 erkek hasta oluşturmuş olup, ortalama yaş 71 , ortalama takip süresi 41 ay (en az 4 ay, en fazla 120 ay) olarak gerçek!eşmiştir. %89 subjektif çok iyi ve iyi sonuç elde edilmiştir. Biz diz eklemi artrozunda kızak protezinin emin bir'yer edindiği kanısındayız. Teknik implantasyon hataları ameliyat sonucunu tehlikeye atan en büyük sebeptir
