Abstract

Meniskal yapılar diz eklemini oluşturan femur ve tibia kemiklerinin eklem yüzlerindeki uyumu sağlarken, dize gelen yüklenimlerde şok absorbsiyon etkisi gösterirler. Fibrokartilaj özelliğindeki meniskal yapıların kalsifik dejenerasyonu bu fonksiyonlarını bozar. Bu çalışmada menisküslerin kalsifik dejenerasyonu çeşitli yöntemlerle saptanmış ve artroskopi sonrası çıkarılarak olgu tartışılmıştır

Abstract

Menisci obtain the congruence between the femur and tibia which make the knee joint and show shock absorption effect. Calcific degeneration of the fibrocartiloginous menisci deranges this function. In this study the calcific degeneration of the menisci is determined by various methods and the case whom the artroscopic excision was done is reviewed.
