Calcific degeneration of meniscal structures in the knee joint

Abstract

Menisci obtain the congruence between the femur and tibia which make the knee joint and show shock absorption effect. Calcific degeneration of the fibrocartiloginous menisci deranges this function. In this study the calcific degeneration of the menisci is determined by various methods and the case whom the artroscopic excision was done is reviewed.
