Abstract

In this experimental study, the effect of acute spinal shock on the reperfusion trauma was investigated. The reperfusion trauma in rabbits was performed by using lower limb tourniqets. In this study, scintigraphic, histochemical and ultrastructural methods were used. It was observed that reperfusion trauma at the acute spinal shock stage causes more serious and irreversible damages. We concluded, that the high concentration of oxygen radicals in acute spinal shock group is responsible for this.

Abstract

Bu deneysel çalışmada akut spinal şokun reperfüzyon travmasındaki etkisi araştırıldı. Reperfüzyon travması tavşanların alt ekstremitelerine turnike uygulaması ile meydana getirildi. Çalışmada sintigrafik, histokimyasal ve ultrastrüktürel yöntemler kullanıldı. Akut spinal şok evresinde reperfüzyon travmasının, dokularda daha ciddi ve geri dönüşümsüz harabiyete yol açtığı gözlendi. Akut spinal şok grubunda, serbest oksijen radikallerinin daha yoğun oluşmasının bu sonuca yol açtığı düşünüldü.
