Chondroblastoma

Abstract

Chondroblastoma is a benign tumor of cartilage that usually originates from secondary ossification centers. it is a quite rare neoplasm and makes up 1 % of all primary bone tumors. In years 1988-1994, 7 cases cf chondroblastoma were diagnosed and treated in our clinic. Curettage and grafting was applied 3 patients whiIe curettage and cementation was applied to the other 4 patients. Mean follow-up time was 32 months. Recurrence was seen in one patient which was treated by cementation. Recurretage and grafting was aoplied to the patient.

Kondroblastom

Öz

Kondroblastom genellikle sekonder ossifikasyon merkezlerinden kaynaklanan, bir benign kıkırdak tümörüdür. Oldukça nadir görülür ve tüm primer kemik tümörlerinin % 1'ini oluşturur. SSK Okmeydanı Hastanesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Kliniği'nde 1988-1994 yılları arasında 7 kondroblastom olgusu teşhis ve tedavi edilmiştir. Hepsine küretaj uygulanan hastaların üçüne küretaj sonrası greftleme, dördüne sementasyon yapılmıştır. Ortalama 32 aylık takip süresi içinde sementasyon uygulanan bir hastada nüks görülmüş, bu hastamıza tekrar küretaj ve greftleme yapılmıştır.
