Surgical treatment of supracondylar humerus fractures in children via medial approach
Abstract
18 patients with displaced extension type supracondylar humerus fractures underwent open reduction and internal fixation operation via medial approach at the University of Trakya, School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The surgical treatment of supracondylar fractures via medial approach in children has the advantages of better cosmetic appearance of skin incision, low complication rate regarding ulnar nerve, easy and safe applying lateral Kirschner wire percutaneously.
