An investigation with multiparameter on hip roentgenograms of normal infants

Abstract

A total of 6868 measurement on 414 hips of 207 normal child [95 (45.9%) boys and 112 (54.1%) girls] were evaluated in this study. AU length and its relation with epiphyses of femoral head was determined in order to achieve the diagnosis of developmental hip dysplasia in the roentgenogram where the epiphyses of the femoral head was not seen. According to our data, the average AU line length was 19.5 mm and standard deviation 1.86. It crossed through the center or 1-2 mm above the center of the epiphyses in 95.67% of the cases, and the epiphyses center was in the middle of the line in 79.62%. In both hips of the girls acetabular index was 2¡, shaft epiphyseal angle was 3.5¡, and collo diaphyseal angle was 4¡ more than those of the boys whereas, center-edge angle was 4¡ higher in boys.

Normal çocukların kalça grafileri üzerinde çok parametreli bir araştırma

Öz

Bu çalışmada 1-12 ay arası yaşlarda 95 (%45.90)'i erkek, 112 (%54.10)'si kız toplam 207 normal çocuğun pelvis grafilerinde 414 kalçada 23 parametreli 6868 ölçüm yapılarak veriler değerlendirildi. Femur başı epifiz çekirdeği görülmeyen vakalarda gelişimsel kalça displazisinin tanışma katkı amacıyla AU uzunluğu ve onun femur başı epifiz çekirdeği (FBEÇ) ile ilişkileri tespit edildi. Araştırmamıza göre AU uzunluğu ortalama 19.5 mm, standart sapması 1.86 idi. %95.67 oranında femur başı epifiz çekirdeği merkezinden veya merkezin 1-2 mm üstünden geçiyor ve %79.62 oranıda femur başı epifiz çekirdeği merkezinde ortalanıyordu. Kızlarda erkeklerden hem sağ hem sol kalçalarda asetabular index 2°, Şaft epifiz açışı 3.5°, cisim-boyun açışı 4° daha yüksek bulunurken, merkez-kenar açışı erkeklerde kızlardan 4° daha fazla bulundu.
