Melorheostosis is a rare bone disorder

Abstract

It usually involves the lower extremity unilaterally and produces characteristic sclerosing cortical thickening of the bone. Etiology and pathogenesis is still unknown. It may be associated with other abnormalities of mesodermal origin. In this study, we aimed to report a case which involved the metatarsal bones and assess the literature knowledge about differential diagnosis and treatment.
