Abstract

The indirect lesion of the brachial plexus by a traumatic false aneurysm of the axillary artery is a rare event. Clinical signs, diagnosis and follow-up of one patient is reported. Characteristic symptoms are severe causalgic pain and progredient neurologic deficits. At operation, excision of the false aneurysm, repair of the artery and neurolysis of the whole plexus was performed. This patient had early return of sensation and gradual return of motor function in follow-up examinations.

Abstract

Aksiler arterin travmatik yalancı anevrizması tarafından oluşturulan indirekt brakial pleksus lezyonu en-der görülen bir durumdur. Burada bir hastanın klinik bulguları, tanısı ve izlenmesi sunuldu. Kozalji tipinde çok şiddetli ağrı ve nörolojik defisit klinik semptomlardı. Ameliyatta ortaya çıkan yalancı anevrizmanın eksizyonu, damarın onarımı ve brakial pleksusun nörolizi yapıldı. Sürekli izlemede duyunun erken dönemde, motor fonksiyonun ise giderek düzeldiği gözlendi.
