Synovial chondromatosis of the subcoracoid bursa (case report)
Abstract
Synovial chondromatosis is a chondroid metaplasia of the synovial membrane. It occurs mostly in large joints, such as knee and hip. Extraarticular involvement is rarely described. Synovial chondromatosis has been shown as a cause of impingement syndrome of the shoulder only in a few cases. We hereby report a case with synovial chondromatosis of the subcoracoid bursa, which caused impingement symptomes.
