Arthroscopic excision of giant cell tumor of tendon sheath in the knee

Abstract

Giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath is a form of villonodular synovitis. It is rarely seen in large joints such as the knee. The lesion must be completely excised to prevent recurrence. All reported cases in the literature the nodules were removed by open surgery. We hereby report a case, in which a giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath has been extirpated totally with arthroscopic method from the knee joint.

Abstract

Dev hücreli tendon tümörü villonodüler tensionvitin formlarından biridir. Diz gibi büyük eklemlerde çok nadir görülür. Nüksü önlemek için lezyon tamamıyla eksize edilmelidir. Literatürde belirtilen tüm diz içi dev hücreli tendon tümörleri açık cerrahi metodlarla eksize edilmiştir. Biz burada artroskopik yolla tamamen çı-kartılan ve nüks ermeyen diz eklem içi dev hücreli tendon tümörü olgusunu sunmak istiyoruz.
