Six years results on functional reduction of congenital dislocation of hip.

Abstract

In this study we have reviewed 66 hips of 48 cases with congenital disiocation of the hip, treated from 197 through 1985 by functional reduction, in Orthopaedic and Traumalotogical Surgery Depariment of Uludağ University. Following tne retrospective analysis of patients, the rate ofavascular necrosis found as % 7,5. By comparison our results with other literatures, we also found that functional reduction is a useful method which reduces avascular necrosis of femoral head in the treatment of congenital dislocation of the hip.
