Abstract

Bu çalışmada Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalına başvuran hastalar arasında 40 yaşın üzerinde osteoporoza bağlı omurga, kalça, el ve ayak bileği kırıkları olan 100 hastayı aynı yaş grubundaki Fiziksel Tıp ve Rehabilitasyon Anabilim dalına başvuran hastalar arasından rastegele seçilmiş 100 hasta ile karşılaştırarak fraktürlü olgularla kontrol grubundaki tesadüfen fraktürü olmuş olgu adedini saptayarak bu olguların klinik özelliklerine ve fraktür nedenine göre osteoporoz ile kırık arasındaki ilişkiyi gözden geçirdik. Fraktür oluşumunda osteoporozun etkinliğini vurguladık.

Abstract

In this study, in order to determine the relationship between osteoporosis and fractures, we compared 100 cases with fractures and 100 randomly selected control subject. We stressed the importance of osteoporosis as a major cause of the fracture, in the elderly.
