The treatment of flexion contracfures of knee as a sequel polionyelitin and the evaluation of its early and lave. Complications.

Abstract

Operations for contracture release and their late conpequences in flexion contraclures due to poliomyelitis in 240 knee joints of 212 cases were studied. The reason for the the high rate of relapse seen after the operation has been amphasized. The reasons ad preventive measures, Wich could be taken against the posterior subluxation of the tibia, another importand complication of the operation have been analyzed under the light of literüre.
