Abstract
We have studied congenital clubfoot deformity which is subject for its etiology and management. We have examined with all aspects 141 deformied foot of 99 congenital clubfoot cases that managed surgically and conservatively between the years 1974-1982 in the department of orthopaedics and traumatology of the Çukurova University Medical Faculty. And we have concluded that the congenital clubfoot deformity must be managed conservatively and in early cases, the rate of good results is very high.

Vücudu taşıma ve yer değiştirme işlevini yapan ayağın, Hippocrates zamanından beri etiyolojisi ve tedavisi tartışılan deformitesi olan konjenital clubfoot deformitesi araştırıldı. Ç.Ü.T.F. Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Kliniğinde 1974-1982 yılları arasında konservatif ve cerrahi olarak tedavi edilen 99 konjenital clubfoot olgusunun 141 deformiteli ayağı çeşitli yönleri ile incelendi ve değerlendirilmesi yapıldı. Konjenital clubfoot deformitesinin konservatif olarak tedavi edilmesi gerktiği ve erken başvuran olgularda tedavi ile başarı oranının çok yüksek olduğu sonucuna varıldı.
