THE FRACTURE OF THE FEMORAL COMPONENT DUE TO SUTRUCTURAL ERRORS FOLLOWING OPERATION OF TOTAL HIP PROSTHESIS

Abstract

Fracture of fhe femoral component of total hip prosthesis is mostly seen on the stem of the femoral component. Common cause of fracture due to failure of fhe operation and prosthesis material. In this presented case, stem and head of the prosthesis were produced from different material and these parts were connected with simple weld and prosthesis was broken place of the weld. We have never detected this type of fracture in the literature.
