CERVICAL RIB AND ITS SURGICAL TREATMENT

Abstract

Cervical rib, which articulates with the transverse process of the 7 th cervical vertebra will generally manifest no signs and will be noticed by coincidence in the roentgenograms. Yet, cervical rib is surgically excised in cases which exhibit progressive clinical signs. 5 cases of cervical rib syndrome were surgically treated and successful results obtained in the Department Orthopaedics and Traumatology in the Medical Faculty of the İstanbul University between 1975 and 1984.
