A case of temporomandibuler ancylesis and HFJW anaesthesia

Abstract

Kelikian surgical procedure was performed to a patient 23 years old who had right temporomandibular ankylosis due to the trauma at the age of 9. Her ankyiosis was increased because of the operation performed to cure this situation at the age of 10. Her condyl cartilage was used as an otogenic graft. This was a special procedure. The surgical procedure was performed safely, intrvenous agents being used, and the paitient being vantilated with HFJW through a trans-tracheal catheter because of the difficulty of intubation of the trachea due to ankyiosis.

Bir Temporomandibuler Ankiloz Olgusu ve HFJV Anestezisi

Abstract

23 yaşında genç bir kız sağ temporomandibuler ankiloz nedeniyle Kelikian ameliyatı uygulandı. Hastanın sağ çene eklemi 9 yaşındayken geçirdiği bir travma sonucu ankiloze olmuş ve 10 yaşında ameliyat edilmiş. Ameliyattan sonra çene hareketleri daha da kısıtlanmış. Bu ameliyatta bir modifikasyon olarak kondil kıkırdağı gref gibi kullanılmıştır. Bu hastalarda anestezi zorluğu olduğundan intravenöz anestezi, transtrakeal tüp ve HFJV vantitasyon sistemi uygulanmıştır.
