Treatment of Subtrochonteric Fractures of the Femur

Abstract

Attempts have been made to review 49 cases which received surgical treatment due to subtrochanteric fracture of the femur during 1971-1981. Results obtained from cases which have been followed up for at least one year are presented. Attempts have been made to elucidate, which types of osteosynthesis material should be used in different kinds of fracture under the light of the results obtained from our cases and literature.
