Abstract

This paper presents the incidence of poliomyelitis in south east Anatolia in Turkey. 105 out of 486 Orthopedic cases found to be suffering from poliomyelitis the amounth which consists 21.6% of the total examined patients.

Abstract

1.1.1979-15.8.1979 tarihleri arasında tedaviye gelen toplam 486 ortopedi ve travmatoloji olgusunun 105'inin polio sekeli veya akut polio-miyelit oldukları görüldü. Çalışmamızda yer alan toplam olguların %21,6 sının poliomiyelitli hastalar olduklarından bu bölgelerde poliomiyelit hastalığı üzerinde önemle durularak bazı önlemlerin alınmasının gerektiğini öngörmekteyiz.
