Pseudoarthroses of the Humerus

Abstract

In this study of ours, 33 cases of humeral pseudoarthrosis treated surgically during 1965-1979 in the İstanbul Medical School of the İstanbul University are reviewed after a follow-up period of 3.5 years, and results obtained through surgical methods of treatment applied in confirmly with pseudoarthrosis are reported herein. It is conciuded that it has resulted in beneficial consequnences to revitalize the region of pseudoarthrosis and to apply stabile osteosynthesis ond cancellous graft in the atrophis type of pseudoarthrosis, to adapt stabile isteosynthesis in the reactive types and to apply dual onlay grafting of fibular graft in the dehective pseudoarthrosis.

HUMERUS PSÖDARTROZLARI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesinde 1965-1979 yılları arasında cerrahi yolla tedavi edilen 33 humerus psödartrozu olgusu ortalama 3.5 yıllık bir takip sonucu incelenmiş, psödartroz tipine göre uygulanan cerrahi tedavi yöntemlerinden elde edilen sonuçlar sunulmuştur. Atrofik tip psodartrozlarda psodartroz bölgesinin yeniden canlandırılması, stabil osteosentez ve sponjiöz gref uygulamasının, reaktif tipte olanlarda stabil osteosentezin ve defekt psödartrozlarında ise dual onlay grefonaj veya fibular gref uygulamasının yararlı sonuçlar verdiği kanısına varılmıştır.
