A rarely encounteder synovial chondromatosis of a hip joint

Abstract

Synovial chondromatozis is a rare, benign neoplastik condition which appears with neoplastik proliferation in the articular synovium. Cartilaginous nodules, it produces cartilaginous and osteo cartillaginous loose bodies. Generally, affect single joint. There is no familiar history of chondromatozis in the reported cases. Clinical features are usually, non specific, the rontgenogram often provide important diagnostic information. Good fonctional result depends upon early diagnosis and early surgical removal of all loose bodies from the joint as well as partial or complete excision of the affected synovium. Only one case hospitalized to our service, who was operated on and innumerable loose bodies were removed from his left hip joint and partial synovectomy was performed.

NADİR GÖRÜLEN BİR KALÇA EKLEMİ SİNOVYAL KONDROMATOZİS'İ

Öz

Sinovyal kondromatozis nadir gorülen selim tabiatlı neoplastik ka;rakterli bir hastalıktır. Sinovyumun neoplastik proliferasyonu neticesi sinovyumda kartilajinö kitlenin tezahürü ile sonunda eklem içine serbest kartilajinö veya osteo kartilajinö cisimlerin meydana gelişi ile kendini gösterir. Genellikle monoartiküler meydana gelen ve familyer bir hastalık değildir. En çok diz ekleminde görülür. Klinik meydana gelişi nonspesifiktir, teşhiste radyografi en önemli rolü oynar. Tedavisi, erken cerrahi girişim ile eklemden serbest cisimlerin çıkarılarak parsiyel ve total sinovektomidir. Servisimizde görülen bir vak'a da sayılamayacak kadar çok irili ufaklı serbest cisim operasyonla çıkarılmış ve parsiyel sinovektomi yapılmıştır.
