Abstract

Epifiz kemiğinin yalnız periferal segmentini ilgilendiren bir tip epifiz nekrozu olan osteokondritis dissekan'ın etyolojisi bugün tam olarak anlaşılamamıştır. Çeşitli yazarlar travmanın, aseptik nekrozun ve hereditenin etken olacağını savunmaktadırlar. Takip ettiğimiz bir vakamızda sol diz medialinde kapalı sekestr halinde olan osteokondritis dissekan bir hafta sonra eklem boşluğuna düşmüş olarak tesbit edildi. İlginç gördüğümüz bu vakanın takdimini uygun bulduk.

Abstract

In this paper an interresting case of osteochondritıs dissecant has been presented. The etiology of this disease which is localized in the periferial segment of the epiphyseal bone, has not been understood properiy. Trauma, focal aseptic necrosis of the bone and cartilage and hereditery predispotion have been clained as causatine factor by the different authors. In this case that we have observed, in medial condyle of the left femur a large osteochondritic area in the knee joint has seperated and fallen off as a sauester in the joint cavity in about one week duration.
