The effects of zinc deficiency on epiphyseal plates of rats

Abstract

The changes in the emphyseol plate of the rats with zinc deficiency were investigated histopathologicalty. The proliferative and hypertrofic zone cells were found to be affected by zinc deficiency. The early changes are reversibl and responded well to zinc theraphy.

Abstract

Çinko yetmezliğine sokulan sıçanlarda yapılan deneysel çalışmamızda şu sonuca vardık:
1. Büyüme plağında hipertrofik hücrelerin yapı ve sayısında azal;ma olduğu proliferatif hücrelerin ise sıra takip eden düzenlerinin ise bozulduğu saptandı. Çinko tedavisi ile bu değişiklikler düzelmektedir.
2. Büyüme plaklarında değişiklik izlenen sıçanların serum çinko düzeyleri normale göre düşük idi.
3. Çinko eksikliğinin büyüme plağı üzerinde meydana getirdiği değişiklikleri büyük bir olasılıkla yapısına girdiği enzimler vasıtasıyla oluştuğu kanısına vardık.
