Fractures of talus and their surgical treatment

Abstract

Fractures of talus and their methods of treatment have been reviewed under the light of literature. After taking into consideration the conservative treatment of these fractures as well as their surgical treatment, it has been found out that the reduction of the fractures should immediately be carried out. Owing to the specific form and anatomical position of talus, the results have been effected in various aspects since the problems arising in the trauma of the posterior aspects of the foot are less seen compared to the other fractures if the ankle. Therefore, the fractures of the talus should be treated as soon as they are seen. Reduction should be as anatomically as possible and maintain the morphology of the talus bone and the alignment of the joint.

TALUS KIRIKLARI ve CERRAHİ TEDAVİ YÖNTEMLERİ

Abstract

Talus kırıkları ve tedavi yöntemleri, literatür ışığı altında incelenmiş, bu kırıkların konservatif tedavileri ile birlikte cerrahi tedavisi de göz önüne alınarak, kırık redüksiyonunun hemen yapılması zorunluğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Talus'un kendine özgü şekli ve anatomik durumu dolayısıyla, ayağın arka bölümünün travmalarında ortaya çıkan sorunların, diğer ayak bileği kırıklarına oranla daha az görülmesi. Sonuçları değişik şekilde etkilemektedir. Bu bakımdan talus kırıklarının görülür görülmez tedavileri gerekmektedir. Redüksiyon mümkün olduğu kadar anatomik olmalı ve talus kemiğinin morfolojisi ile eklem devamlılığını sağlamalıdır.
