Abstract

Simple conservative methods especially in the fracture treatment are always preferable eventhought the possivilities of the surgical interventions and the conservative orthopaedic methods of treatment are tremendously improved, being more avaliable in appliacance, having none of the handicaps of the surgical intervention, less pain for the patient and in spite of these all not destroying the primary hematoma. This manuscript discusses the value, the sufficiency and the superiority of collar and cuff and hanging cast methods of treatment in the fractures of shaft of humerus.

Öz

Cerrahi müdahale imkanlarının çok artması ve konservatif ortopedik metodların çok gelişmesine rağmen, bilhassa kırık tedavisinde basit konservatif metodlar tatbikatının kolaylığı, cerrahi müdahalenin handikaplarına sahip olmaması ve hasta için daha az izdırap ve acı olması, buna karşılık ta primer hematomu bozmaması dolayısı ile daima, tercihe şayandır. Müellif, humerus kırıklarında Hanging cast ve Collar and cuff ile tedavi imkan ve endikasyonların ve bu iki metodun diğer metodlara olan üstünlüklerini incelemektedir.
