Abstract

Akut kolonik psödo-obstrüksiyon olarak da bilinen Ogilvie sendromu, kalça ve diz artroplastisi sonrası görülen, nadir fakat göz ardı edilmemesi gereken, ciddi bir ameliyat sonrası komplikasyondur. Ogilvie sendromu görülen bir olguyu bildirdiğimiz bu çalışmanın amacı, bu komplikasyona dair risk faktörlerini belirlemek, görülme olasılığı ve doğru tedavisine yönelik cerrahların dikkatini çekmek idi.

Abstract

Ogilvie’s syndrome, also known as acute colonic pseudo-obstruction, is an uncommon but severe postoperative complication of total hip and knee arthroplasty. This syndrome should be borne in mind after arthroplasty surgery. We present a case of this serious postoperative complication and aim to identify the risk factors and alert surgeons to the possibility and appropriate management of Ogilvie’s syndrome.
