Result of modified Bristow procedure for anterior recurrent dislocation of the shoulder

Abstract

In this study, we presented the results of 32 patients who underwent the modified Bristow procedure for anterior recurrent dislocation of the shoulder between 1988 and 1995 in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology . The average follow-up period was 15 months. We obtained excellent results in 26 (81.25 %) patients, good results in 3 (9.37%) patients, fair results in 2 (6.25%) patients and poor result in 1 (3.13%) patient. There was no redislocation or subluxation in any of the patients.
