Abstract

Hibernoma kahverengi yağ dokusu kaynaklı, hipervasküler yapıda ve manyetik rezonans görüntüleme özellikleri zaman zaman liposarkomla karışabilen selim bir yumuşak doku tümörüdür. Seçkin tedavi yöntemi dikkatli hemostaz ile beraber yapılan total marjinal rezeksiyondur. Yazımızda uyluk lateraline yerleşmiş, alışılmamış büyüklükte hibernoma tanısı ile tedavi ettiğimiz bir vakanın klinik, radyolojik ve patolojik özellik-leri ışığında nadir rastlanan bu selim tümör literatür bilgileri ile beraber irdelenmiştir.

Abstract

Hibernoma is a benign soft tissue tumor of brown fat origin with hypervascularity and features on magnetic resonance imaging that resemble liposarcoma. Complete marginal resection with meticulous hemostasis is the treatment of choice. This article describes a patient with an unusually large lateral thigh hibernoma demonstrating the clinical presentation and radiographic pathologic features of this rare benign tumor.
