Treatment Of Ununited Tibial Diaphyseal Fractures With Electromagnetic Fields

Abstract

Eleven patient with ten ununited fractures and one congenital pseudoarthrasis of tibia were teraeted. Exclusively with pulsating electromagnetic field in two plan. The over all success rate in healing of the fracture with this surgicully non-invasive out patient method was 81.8 percent. The success rate was not materially effected by the age or sex of the patient. the lenght of prior disablity, the number rf previous failed operations or the presence of infection or bulky methalic fixation.
