Determining of the femoral neck torsion angle using CT-scaning, monoplanar, biplanar direct radiographic methods and comparison of the results

Abstract

Several different methods such as fluoroscopi, CT scaning, monoplaner or biplaner direct radiography can be used determination of femoral neck torsion angle. In our study femoral neck torsion angle has been determined in one adult skelatal module and 22 hips of 10 adults. CT-scaning, monoplaner (Dunn) and biplaner (Magiligan, Ryder-Crane) direct radiographic methods have been used in the study and the results have been compared by using statistical analysis method. It has been observet that CT scaning is reliable acording to direct visual examination method, Dunn and Ryder-Crane medhods are reliable according to CT scaning. The results of Magiligan method have been found to be different than CT results.

Abstract

Femoral torsiyon açısının ölçülmesinde floroskopik, BT, monoplaner, biplaner direkt radiografik metodlar ve ultrasound yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır. Bir erişkin iskelet modeli ve 10 erişkin denekte toplam 22 kalçada femur boynu torsiyon açısı. BT monoplaner (Dunn) ve biplaner yöntemlerle (Magiligan ve Ryder-Crane) ölçüldü. Sonuçlar istatistik açısından karşılaştırıldı. Doğruluk açısından BT’nin direkt gözlem sonuçlarına göre güvenilir, Dunn ve Ryder-Crane metodlarının BT’ye göre güvenilir ve Magiligan yönteminin BT’ye göre farklı olduğu gözlendi.
