The ankle arthrodesis by transfibuler approach

Year 1988, Volume: 22 Issue: 1, 26 - 28, 11.09.2006

Abstract

In this article, we evaluate 25 cases, that we applied ankle arthrodesis by transfibular apporach, between the years 1980-1986, in the Egirdir Orthopaedics Hospital. Our patients were between 15-65 years, and the average was 30.6 years. Since this technique causes the damage of eppiphysial plate we didn’t prefer to use it in children. The cases have been followed 7-55 months. In the last evaluation screening, it has been seen that solid fusion haven’t occurred in one case. In that case we made a new operation. This technique is simple, provides a wide view and solid fusion as a result. Due to these advantages, it s preferable for the ankle fusion procedures.

Transfibuler ayak bileği artrodezi

Year 1988, Volume: 22 Issue: 1, 26 - 28, 11.09.2006
