Surgical treatment of plateau tibia fractures

Abstract

In this study, 30 patients with plateau tibia fracture who admitted to Universty of Istanbul, Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic between 1976-1986 were evaluated. The evaluation has been done according to AO classification. Pain, stability and walking distance have been taken as the points of criteria. The final results of the depression fracture cases that were treated by elevating the tibial plateaus using autogenous bone graft and non-rijid internal fixation materials were found to be generally poor. The longest follow-up period was 11 years and the sohrtest one was 6 months.

Abstract

Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalı na 1976-1986 yılları arasında plato tibia fraktürü nedeni ile müracaat eden hastalardan cerrahi olarak tedavi edilen 30 olgu incelenmiştir. Olgular AO sınılandırmasına göre değerlendirilmişlerdir. Ağrı, stabilite, yürüme kapasitesi takipte kriter olarak alınmıştır. Depresyon kırığı olup, otogen kemik grefti ile elevasyon yapılan ve rijid olmayan tesbit araçları kullanılan olgular kötü sonuç elde edilenlerin çoğunluğunu oluşturmaktadır. En uzun takip süresi 11 yıl, en kısa takip süresi 6 aydır.
