Meniscus tears and conservative treatment

Abstract

The treatment of meniscus tears is ussually operative. However, in order to evaluate a knee well and diagnose associated injures and even treat them together, conservative treatment methods can be retilized. Some of the conservative treatment methods are; application of local cold, aspiration of effusion in the knee, unloking a locked knee, application of bandage and muscle exercises.

Abstract

Menisküs yırtıklarının tedavisi genelde cerrahidir. Ancak travma sonrası bir dizin iyi değerlendirilebilmesi ve meniskus yırtıkları ile birlikte olabilecek diğer yaralanmaların da teşhislerinin konması, hatta birlikte tedavi edilmesi amacına yönelik olarak konservatif tedavi metodları denebilir. Uygulanan konservatif tedavi metodlarından bazıları; lokal soğuk tatbik, dizde biriken sıvının aspirasyonu, kilitlenen dizin açılması, bandaj tatbiki ve adale egzersizleridir.
