Abstract
Arthroscopy have become important subspecialties of orthopaedic surgery. Arthroscopy provides reliable information on the type and extent of meniscal lesion and therefore allows a rational therapy of the spesific lesions. The paper is based upon more than 400 operations and the patient have had a follow up examination, the results of which are analysed. Only two of our cases we used open menisectomy for the additional lesions.

Diz eklemi menisküs Iezyonlarının tanı ve tedavisinde, artroskopi son yıllarda sık olarak kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Artroskopi sayesinde menisküs zedelenmesinin genişliği ve tipi tam olarak tayin edilebilir ve buna yönelik daha doğru bir tedavi yapılabilir. 1985 -1989 yılları arasında kliniğimize başvuran ve menisküs yırtığı tanısı ile hastaneye yatırılan 402 olguya diagnostik ve cerrahi artroskopi uygulandı. Sadece 2 olguda ilave lezyonlardan dolayı açık cerrahiye geçildi.
