Abstract

Ingrowing toenail becomes a common pathology in people who don't give particular care to their foot health. Although there are many different surgical technique. recurrence can be seen even after these procedures.
We have surgically treated 20 patients of ingrowing toenail by combining the Winograd and Bartlette methods in our clinic between 1988 and 1990 We obtained good results by the performance of the technique which is the combination of the partial resection of the ingrowing nail edge and bed, and suturing the nail fold skin after an elliptical skin excision.

Abstract

Ayakta tırnak batması ayak sağlığına yeteri kadar özen gösterilmediğinde oldukça sık rastlanan bir patolojidir. Çeşitli tedavi yöntemleri uygulanmasına rağmen tedavi sonrası yine de tekrarlayabilmektedir.
Çukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda 1988-1990 yılları arasında tırnak batması tanısıyla 20 hastayı Winograd ve Bartlett tekniklerini birleştirerek cerrahi yöntemle tedavi ettik. Batan tırnak kenan ve tırnak yatağının parsiyel rezeksiyonu ile batan tırnak kenan cildinin eliptik eksizyonunun yapılarak tekrar sütüre edilmesinden oluşan bu tekniğin uygulanmasından sonra hastalanmızdan iyi sonuçlar elde ettik.
