The relation between Perthes disease development and the hip joint capsule structure in immature rabbits

Year 1991, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 165 - 169, 11.09.2006

Abstract

The etiology of Perths' Oisease is still obscure. It seems to be caused by avascularity of the femoral head. Experimentally in imature rabbits, we obtained hip joint capsular fibrosis by injection of 50% tetracycline solution to the capsule Then, by intra.articular injection of silicone, maintained an elevated intra-articular pressure. We observed the effects of increased intra-articular pressure on the circulation of the proximal femur and the viability of the femoral head by histopathological examination. We have demonstrated the hypothesis that hip joint capsular structure may be the basic mechanism in the production of Perthes' Disease.

İmmatür tavşanlarda Perthes hastalığı oluşumu ile kalça eklem kapsülünün yapısı arasındaki ilişki

Year 1991, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 165 - 169, 11.09.2006

Abstract

Perthes hastaliğının etyolojisi tam olarak bilinmemektedir. Femur başının damarlanmasındaki bozukluk olabileceği düşünülmektedir Deneysel olarak immatür tavşanlarda kalça eklem kapsülüne %50 tetrasiklin solüsyonu enjekte etmekle fibrozis oluşturduk. Eklem içi basıncının silikon verilerek arttınlmasıyla, femur başında gelişen dolanım bozukluğunu histopatolojik çalışma ile gözlemledik. Böylece kalça eklem kapsül yapısının Perthes hastalığı oluşumunda önemli bir mekanizma olabileceği hipotezini öne sürmekteyiz.
