Tibial lengthening in rabbits by callus distraction: Evaluation of physeal activity (experimental study) Part II

Year 1991, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 179 - 183, 11.09.2006

Abstract

Proximal and distal growth plate activities of tibias which lengthened by callotasis limb lengthening technique were studied on 20 young adult New-Zelland albino rabbits During the study period radiological, scintigraphical and histologycal evaluations were performed.
At the end of the study, it's concluded that there is no negative effect on the growth plates. We are thinking of that there is a positive effect on the function and activities of growth plates of Iengthened tibias by way of the stimuIus of increased vascularity.

Tavşanlarda kallus distraksiyonu ile tibial uzatma Büyüme plağı fonksiyonlarının incelenmesi-(Deneysel Araştırma 2. Bölüm)

Year 1991, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 179 - 183, 11.09.2006
